Description

Studio art pottery vase by Teresa Speakman. This listing is one of 3 made at the same time with 3 different colored Shino glazes that could be collected as a set. This one-of-a-kind piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel, then sculpted using fingers to impress and shape the partly dry form to create the female form. The speckles you see on the surface are ground manganese dioxide which burns through the clay into the food-safe Oolong colored Shino glaze in the kiln firing. This unique piece can be used as a vase, a drinking vessel, hold kitchen utensils, and is merely a joy to behold! It is signed by the artist, Teresa Speakman, and has the studio stamp Primitive Mud. Dimensions are 6 3/4″ tall x 5″ wide.
