Clay Playshop for People with Developmental Dissabilities
March 8 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT

March is Developmental Disabilities (DD) Awareness Month, and we have planned a playshop that is designed to include a helper if needed (no extra charge). This hands-on tactile experience is an opportunity to play with clay using texture tools and stamps to create designs, or squoosh, roll, or shape it into a pot or sculpture.
The clay is natural, non-toxic stoneware clay, and doesn’t stain, but if you think you want gloves, bring them with you (we don’t have any on-site).
If you want, you can take the clay home with you; it can be re-wetted if it dries out.
NOTE: This playshop does not include firing the pottery in a kiln for finishing; it is for the experience of playing with clay.
